Model Making – Visualization for the Max Planck Institute, Berlin
A graphic and 3D model illustrating how the Max Planck Institute in Berlin processes and analyzes artifacts from Asia—primarily historical maps and archived materials. The model was developed as a precise plexiglass construction, laser-cut, assembled, and cured with blue light (UV-curing). It is now on display at the Institute in Berlin. Additionally, a video was created to document the Institute’s research and workflow surrounding the preservation, archiving, and interpretation of Chinese maps.
