Hyundai Motorstudio Beijing – Sculpting Air

The Hyundai Motorstudio in Beijing’s 798 Art District was redesigned as a hybrid between an exhibition space and an artistic installation. At the centre of the concept stands a fully exposed air-filtration system, transformed into a sculptural object that makes the process of cleaning Beijing’s urban air both visible and experiential. Surrounding this core element, the entire exhibition space was newly developed, creating flexible zones for art, technology, and public engagement. The result is an architectural environment where environmental technology, spatial storytelling, and contemporary culture merge into a singular, immersive experience.
