School Yard Installation – With Kaspar Müller

A permanent public artwork conceived for a new school building, inspired by the tradition of the Maibaum—a communal symbol of growth, renewal, and celebration. The installation marks the center of the school grounds, transforming it into a playful and symbolic gathering point.
Merging references to childhood, learning, and collective identity, the sculptural elements rise like contemporary maypoles—colorful beacons that invite interaction and imagination. They act as landmarks within the architecture, breaking rigid spatial hierarchies and introducing moments of wonder, orientation, and belonging. The work celebrates community as a living, growing structure—rooted in tradition yet reaching toward the future.
